I am 66 years old and I used to play in an old rock and roll band and a country band. Ever since I was about 13 years old, I have been trying to play finger style guitar like Chet Atkins. Since then, I have broadened out into Tommy Emmanuel, Doyle Dykes, Muriel Anderson, Richard Smith and others. I try to play finger style guitar and I can play basic versions (my own) of a lot of Chet Atkins' songs. If you look at one of my web sites, you will see links to my other sites.

I have two grown up children and 2 grandchildren who are in elementary school, a boy and a girl. I have been married for 35 years now to a wonderful wife.

I am interested in sciences such as physics, electronics and I went to electronics school after high school.

I was born in Toms River, New Jersey but I live in Cambridge, Maryland at the present time and have been here since about 1969.

I worked at many varied jobs but my longest one was 15 years at Black and Decker until they closed our plant. I was on assembly lines, steel machining, Heat treating, gear lab. In steel machining, I ran mostly center-less grinders and my last grinder was a CNC (computer numerical code) grinder. I, also, ran many other machines there.

I am retired since the plant closed operations in my area in 2003. I am disabled too with poor blood circulation in my legs and I have had two heart attacks and have diabetes. I weigh 320 pounds and only 5 feet 4 inches tall. I have told Tommy Emmanuel that I am a huge fan of his; in more ways than one. I like Tommy and his playing because his mastery of the guitar is beyond compare and I believe that he is the best finger style acoustic player in the world today. I, also, like Tommy because he truly loves his fans and works so hard to make his performances memorable to everyone who goes to them. I have liked him since someone gave me the CD entitled The Day Finger Pickers Took Over The World, which he made with the late, great Chet Atkins, cgp. I have seen many of his videos on youtube and I have seen him a couple of times on TV. I like him because he doesn't try to make people believe he is great. His playing does that for him, the same way as Chet always said that other players were better than he was. He is humble in that regard too, just like Chet. I like him because I have seen him on the Woodsongs Radio Hour a couple of times and I like him because of his virtuosity which is beyond compare to anyone else in the world today.,
