Hello everyone,

 

This is by no means offending anyone but I just wanted to post this about what I'm seeing after a few months from joining this forum and TE's official website forum.

 

Where is everyone? This forum had been here for about 2 months or maybe more but all I see is only 6-9 forums/subjects posted. I mean, the last reply to a forum was 8 days ago! C'mon....

 

I really think that Tommy's forums are the least used forums compared to other "big" guitarists. Just check John Petrucci's forum... almost everyone on YouTube/MySpace/Facebook and almost every guitarist is there...

 

I don't believe that it should all be about one guitarist, one insturment... let it be for everyone... say whatever is in your mind. Post videos... yours, others... just be active and talk about whatever you want (except politics! ).

 

I'm sorry if I was harsh but we need to improve a lot of stuff...

Yeah it is strange. But this site is quite new, and will probably pick up as it gets better results in the search engines. In the meantime I have invited friends, and talked about this site in my favourite forums on the internet as well as on my social networking sites such as myspace and facebook. I think this site has potential once it gets to be more known.

Yeman, I would rather consider this site as a place of gathering Tommy's fans, not for posting videos or doing discussions on forum.Look around - there's youtube,and there's tommyemmanuel.com/forum. With all respect,this site will never bit them-and over all it's no sense to bit them at all. Let it be for making relations and knowing each others that love Tommy's music.Sharing experience from his concerts or publishing your own pics of him. I often go here,but in my opinion,I would rather spend time with my guitar learning,than putting here media content. Regards!

Thank you sir for your comment. I agree with most of what you say but what I also noticed is that still... there aren't so many people active even in Tommy's official website. What I believe that forums are about is communication! If it's about the expeirences... let's share it then! This is my whole point... let's talk... post... that's from where experience comes...

I've just run into this site! give me a little time to look around- and i'll post some pieces of information for U to see &hear about TE's tour in Russia 2008-2009:))

My friends... I just want to post here again and clarify my points in case there was some misunderstanding. This is by no means to offend anyone... I was hesitated whether to talk about the subject of the "forums" in this website or TE's official website but I finally decided that I'll post it here because since this is a new website and we're having more people joining... we'd love to start it in a fresh way and keep the spirit. My whole point is about the website and us here. Communication! I'd love to hear from people about their experiences... let's take it mainly for TE but I think that we should also talk about acoustic guitar in general... guitarists... fingerstyle... your whole experience and how you came into the guitar... I'm starting to write and organize my stuff and hopefully by the weekend, I'll be ready to post it here. That's my whole point... just to get things going here...

Just a few words about Tommy... When he plays "Mona Lisa"- it's like a magician running his fingers over the jewels in his magic box and bringing to light strings of flagoletto pearls to decorate laces of melodies...

I just found this forum via the finger-style.com website, It is a little hidden on TE official site, right? But so what, let us spread his good music and this board. Best, Roland
