Hey guys... I was just curious to know how everyone stumbled upon Tommy and his music?

A friend of mine actually posted one of his videos (the link to the specific video is posted above this message) on his MySpace claiming that he would "learn this song for all you ladies out there...".  I soon found out days later that he had given up trying to learn Angelina. That's the song that got me hooked and that's how I came to know Tommy.

Had just started playing guitar for couple months and was looking internet for guitarplayers vids. By some lucky coincident I clicked on one Tommys "Guitar Boogie" vid. Had no expectations or anything and it totally blew me away, actually I could not beleave it. I dont know how many times I wached it, but before this vid I didnt realize how much fun guitar really is. I can luckily say that thanks to Tommy I love to play this instrument today......

I add this vid allso then :-)

My guitar teacher showed me a video of him on youtube, since then i've only used a thumbpick & acoustic. Sorta left my electric in the dust...

Tommy attended the semi-annual cancer retreat that my husband and I have volunteered for about 8 years. The chaplain of the sponsoring hospital has sung "Today Is Mine" for years in his Sat morning worship service. He made the contact to have Tommy perform for about 90 of us; mostly cancer survivors. He is an amazing talent, but his spirt and kindness are as indescribable as his music. Great human being!!!

First saw him on Guitar-tube.com, now I strive to soak his music up like a sponge

That's amazing Kelli, thank you for sharing your story. I've never met him but if his music is a reflection of his personality then he must be exactly as you've described him. Hvince808, I've never heard of guitar-tube.com but I'll have to check it out. Thanks for posting.

I can't remember exactly how but he was one of the names I heard from my brother first (as a guitarist) and then I started digging for some acoustic guitarists until I found him... started off with "I've Always Thought of You".... since then, I got "addicted" to his music and his work... I can't wait to see him on September...
