Just saw a few clips of a 16 year old boy on youtube. He was in some kind of talent show on Australian TV, and was playing tunes that Tommy either has written or covered. Seems he is a clever little copy cat, but he sure plays convincingly for his young age. With a little maturity I am sure he will find his own style...or at least I hope so.

Hannah please check out Joes original tunes at his channel on youtube and Im sure you will find that he is no clone of any man. He definitly has his own style and Im amazed by his skills in both playing and writing. I think he is definitly one young player that we will be hearing more of......

What a rocking young dude. He is indeed awesome. The TE link is obvious, even in his own tunes, but then again, I do hear many other influences there. I am looking forward to hear more from him, and would certainly not hesitate paying full bucks for his debut album. Excellent talent!

I just saw this forum and thought to drop by and let everyone here know that Tommy Emmanuel will be featured in Joe Robinson's new album. So, watch out for that! :D Joe is definitely a great talent and if there's a person that I think of as a 2nd TE to the world, it'd be Joe Robinson. Yeah, i was extremely happy to hear that tommy will be featured on joes cd. He does have some similarities to tommy, but he does add his own little flair to it. One musician who deserves to be known worldwide.

I'm waiting for Joe's album,should be soon released this year.He definitely has skills,but a little bit commercial (Idol winner).Looking at young fellows I prefer Kieran Murphy.

How old is he 17 or 18 ? OMG, what happens when he reaches 20 ? Or when he reaches TE's age ? I don't know about these Australian guitar players ......... What do they eat ? lol

I got Joe Robinson two weeks ago in Vienna and was surprised by his. I think he has a great way to go. He is still needs to be diamond cut, but or according to an entertainer, is seen.

Joe Robinson is awesome, I'm a fan already! The boy is really dedicated, and his playing gets only better! Another kid who is awesome is Sungha Jung, younger than Joe, and just gets better and better.
