Come out of the bedroom

Hi all,

There is bound to be a good deal of guitarists signing up here at the TE fans' Social Network.

What kind of guitars are you playing, and more importantly, what tunes are you currently playing?

Just a small note...........for any guitarist who owns a maton EBG808 TE, on tommys main site someone was askin about how he could get is maton 808te shinny like tommys, as when bought, it as a satin finish, i have found that the only polish to to get a shinny finish ,was gibson pump polish, which i used, once you get it shinny....you can than use like tommy does, mr sheen or pledge, mine looks great at min. one other thing the zip bag he uses........is a levy EM20 S.

I have an early '70 Yamaha and a mid '70's Martin. I mostly play like I know what I am doing with them which is absolutely not true.

Hi all, I always keep 3 Taylor guitars busy. Two are John Denver Commemorative Models, 1 a Grand Concert (the standard one issued) the 2nd is a custom Jumbo model (very rare). Third guitar is Taylor-855ce, 12-string. I have my "kick around" small Mahogany Martin I keep with me each day. The last guitar is a jewel of a treasure from a luthier in Oklahoma, USA, who has made the best sounding guitar I've ever heard in 40 years of playing. I played my first guitar at 6 years old, this guitar outshines any I've played, and I've played hundreds. It's called a SWIFT, named after its creator. I have all of Tommy's DVD's and attempt to learn as much as I can from his instructional ones, but - alas - I'm really a singer who plays guitar, so I continue to sing my own originals, of course John Denver, "oldies" and any song with a beautiful melody and lyrics. -- Jens, this site is great!! Did I miss where you told us what guitar(s) you are using and what you are playing these days????

Annie dear, oh do i remember that sweet Jumbo that Tommy broke in for you. I think I remember he adjusted it right there and then, at the cruise to Mexico. Seems like you have got some great guitars. Who is the Oklahoma luthier? I am currently playing my relatively cheap but excellent Larrivee OM3R. It is a great guitar. In August 2007 I went to Austin, seeing my friend Monte Montgomery, who introduced me to Bill Collings of Collings Guitars, and I bought a sweet OM-2H. These two guitars are my main instruments. I also play an old battered Taylor 214 from time to time. Mostly playing originals. Will have to upload a few videos soon. However, am busy planning a trip to good old Denmark at the end of the month, so that is taking up some time as I need to get some work done first. Would be great to see some pictures of your guitars here Annie!

Get to work!

As an answer, I got an acoustic/electric Ibanez (PF5ECE) and mostly I'm working on my own compositions and getting them recorded... plus, *Those Who Wait* is in the process of being "learned"!
